Boys are struggling, falling behind in plain sight. Yet, for too long, their challenges have been overlooked or misunderstood.
The Oh Boy!™ campaign, launched by The Boys Initiative, is here to change that. It’s an awareness movement designed to spotlight the challenges and disparities boys and young men face in today’s society. But this is more than just raising awareness—it’s a call to action.
Oh Boy!™ offers compelling stats and data from the report “For Every 100 Girls” that clearly illustrates the challenges boys and young men face today. It highlights key disparities across 70 social metrics, such as education, mental health, and employment, providing undeniable evidence of the urgent need for action. These facts help shift the conversation, raising awareness and pushing for solutions to address the systemic barriers preventing boys and young men from reaching their full potential.
For example, young men earn only 60 master’s degrees for every 100 earned by women. They also face higher rates of incarceration, substance abuse, and suicide deaths. These statistics paint a clear picture—boys are struggling, and we need to take action.
