Tracking Boys’ Outcomes: “For Every 100 Girls…”

Data aggregated by Dr. Mark Perry

It is important to look at benchmarks when analyzing group outcomes. As our mission at TBI is to help lead boys to better outcomes in education and in life, we need to look at the data of how boys are doing compared to girls. This project was started by TBI Advisor Board member Tom Mortensen, and continues to be updated and added to by another TBI Advisory Board member, Dr. Mark Perry, who writes for the American Enterprise Institute.

The tables below tell a story of how our boys and young men are falling behind girls and young women in many important areas. Boys are much less likely to succeed in education, and more likely to be incarcerated, homeless, or victims of murder.
